CRH is the world's largest building materials company, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, with origins tracing to 1936 when two Irish cement companies merged to form Cement Roadstone Holdings. The group employs about 75,000 people and generates annual revenue of roughly US$35 billion, operating in 29 countries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.\n\nCRH's business is built on the most basic inputs of construction: cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and asphalt, produced and distributed through a vast network of quarries, plants, and terminals. Its North American operations, organized under the Oldcastle banner, make it the largest aggregate producer in the United States and a dominant supplier to infrastructure projects funded by federal highway programs. In Europe, CRH holds leading positions in Ireland, the UK, Germany, and the Benelux, and its Building Products division manufactures precast concrete, architectural glass, and fencing for residential and commercial construction.\n\nFor buyers and suppliers alike, CRH's scale matters: it consumes enormous volumes of mining equipment, trucking, and fuel, while its vertically integrated network — from quarry to paving crew — makes it a one-stop source for highway, airport, and building projects across the Atlantic.
