Reliance Industries is India's largest company by revenue, founded by Dhirubhai Ambani in 1966 as a textile maker and transformed by his son Mukesh Ambani into a conglomerate spanning petrochemicals, oil refining, retail, and telecommunications. Headquartered in Mumbai, Reliance employs more than 350,000 people and generates annual revenue of roughly US$100 billion.
The Jamnagar refinery complex in Gujarat is the world's largest single-site refining operation, processing 1.24 million barrels of crude per day and producing fuels, polymers, and petrochemical feedstocks that are exported to more than 100 countries. Reliance's petrochemical division makes polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, and elastomers that feed packaging, textile, and automotive supply chains across Asia and beyond.
For global buyers, Reliance is a scale supplier of polymers and refined products with consistent export volumes, and its Jio digital platform has made it a technology powerhouse in its own right — relevant for suppliers of telecom and data-center equipment.
