ATELIERS JEAN PERZEL

Ateliers Jean Perzel is a French manufacturer of lighting fixtures based in Paris, producing pieces from the 1930s through to the present day. The workshop created fixtures for the Normandie ocean liner and for the UN. Jean Perzel, a master glassmaker and goldsmith, was a pioneer of modern lighting art, and from the 1930s his nephew François Raidt joined him to continue the work. Together they studied and designed thousands of lamps, wall sconces, chandeliers, ceiling lights, floor lamps and reading lamps, along with furniture such as tables, consoles and glass guéridons. For more than twenty years Olivier Raidt, the founder's great-nephew, has maintained the family tradition. Every piece leaving the Perzel workshops is still handcrafted as it was in 1923.
