Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC)
Kuwait City
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation is the state-owned oil and gas holding company of Kuwait, one of the world's largest crude oil producers with proven reserves exceeding 100 billion barrels, roughly 6% of global reserves. Established in 1980, KPC oversees the full hydrocarbon value chain through subsidiaries including Kuwait Oil Company, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, and Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company.
The corporation operates the giant Burgan field, the world's second-largest oil field, and produces approximately 2.4 million barrels of crude oil per day, with ambitious plans to raise capacity to 4 million barrels by 2035. Its downstream arm operates three refineries in Kuwait plus a stake in the Duqm refinery in Oman, producing refined products, petrochemicals and lubricants for export.
For B2B buyers, KPC supplies crude oil, refined products, LPG, jet fuel and petrochemicals through term contracts and spot sales, with logistics handled by Kuwait Oil Tanker Company. Its massive reserves, state ownership and strategic Gulf location make it one of the most reliable energy suppliers in the world.
