LES RUCHERS DE NORMANDIE
Food Processing
Les Ruchers de Normandie is a beekeeping operation founded in 2006 in the Pays d'Ouche area of Normandy, France. It runs around 1,200 colonies, split between producing hives and young swarms raised on site. The farm yields spring flower, hawthorn, summer flower, buckwheat and fennel honey, and moves hives up to 2.5 hours away to obtain linden, forest, acacia and lavender varieties. It also makes honey gingerbread, honey nougat with French almonds and vanilla, and jams cooked in a copper cauldron using French fruit with part of the sugar replaced by honey. A white label service was scheduled for autumn 2023.
