Frugema is a family-run Austrian business based in Jenig that has produced fresh-cut items such as peeled and cut salads, fruits, vegetables, and potatoes since 1992. Its processing methods are designed to keep products fresh for up to 21 days while limiting mold, yeast, and fungi, extending shelf life without chemicals or preservatives and maintaining smell, taste, appearance, and texture. The company supplies a washing solution in packaged bags for facility use, plus treatments for whole vegetables that reduce food waste. It also provides wholesale packaging for food and non-food goods, supported by its own warehouse, a B2B shop, sales representatives from packaging manufacturers, and an international purchasing network.
