Werkzeugbau Rau GmbH is a toolmaking business located in Tönisvorst, Germany, established in 1974 by master toolmaker Günter Rau. Herbert Dickel acquired the firm in 2001 through a succession arrangement. The company produces one-off parts, tooling and compact special-purpose machines, concentrating on cutting, drawing and stamping tools. Its manufacturing range covers stamping tools for tinplate lids, stamping blocks, grippers for bolt presses, Hirth gearing, comb plates and die blocks. Machining operations include turning, milling and grinding. In gauge and fixture construction, work is carried out to customer drawings. Special machines are engineered around each application following direct consultation with the client. On request, presses and stamping equipment are refurbished and fitted with automation.
