ASKU-SCHOLTEN GMBH

ASKU-Scholten GmbH was founded in 1982 in Duisburg, continuing the work of Gebrüder Scholten and ASKU. The company discontinued in-house production of complete new crane systems and now focuses on customer-specific orders such as relocation or modification of existing installations, maintenance and spare parts supply. It produces under-sling, couplings, drum brakes and disc brakes developed from its own crane construction experience for the iron and steel industry. Specifications for asbestos-free brake linings were examined through more than thirty years of collaboration with TU Berlin. ASKU-Scholten is the only manufacturer that has continued standard part production of Gebrüder Scholten since 1982. The location is Duisburg Homberg, with external warehouse and assembly halls in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Production is subject to continuous improvement in materials, coatings and manufacturing processes.
