SOVAG, Sonderabfallverwertungs-AG is a Swiss special waste disposal company founded in 1975 in the Canton of Bern and based in Emmenbrücke. It handles material recovery, thermal recovery and landfilling of special wastes according to their properties and composition. The company operates three processing centers: Emmenbrücke for aqueous special waste, Basel for solvents, chemicals and sorting, and Rubigen for recycling of fluorescent materials, batteries and electronic waste. It works with national and international partners, including Batrec and Valorec in Switzerland, and its parent company SARPI (Veolia) in France.
