Repsol is Spain's largest energy company, formed in 1987 through the consolidation of Spain's state oil holdings and privatized in the 1990s. Its 2020 net-zero-by-2050 strategy has made Repsol one of Europe's most aggressive oil-major transitions: it is building renewable generation of more than 6 GW, green hydrogen projects, and advanced biofuels plants that convert used cooking oil into renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.\n\nFor industrial buyers, Repsol supplies fuels, bitumen, lubricants, and chemicals across the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, and its renewable and biofuels programs create procurement demand for solar panels, electrolyzers, and biofuel processing equipment.
