RLS Merilna tehnika d.o.o. is a Slovenian manufacturer of magnetic encoders and related components, founded in 1989 and headquartered in Komenda. Since 2000 the firm has worked in partnership with Renishaw PLC, a British engineering company. Its production covers incremental and absolute rotary and linear magnetic encoder models, magnetic sensor ICs, optomodules and analogue interpolators. Photodiode arrays for spectroscopy, optical scanning and barcode reading are also manufactured. Typical applications include surgical and collaborative robots, submarine technology, heavy machinery and aerospace.
