SC Avicola Slobozia S.A. is a Romanian food industry company based in Slobozia, founded in 1982 and converted into a joint-stock company in 1990 before passing to private capital in 1997. Its activities centre on the industrialisation and commercialisation of broilers, carried out in a closed production circuit. The company operates a parent breeding farm, high-capacity incubation, seven meat chicken farms and its own slaughterhouse, and also produces feed, provides transport and laboratory services, procures grain and sells its own products. Operations are complex and territorially dispersed, employing more than 1,000 people.
