MEFFA Lab Oy is a Finnish company founded in 2018 and based in Lohja that develops field and laboratory solutions for geochemical research, mineral exploration and environmental analysis. Its flagship GERDA system is an automated platform for high-precision sample scanning and analysis using portable XRF, NIR and LIBS instruments, enabling repeatable, location-accurate measurement of drill cores, soils, sediments and other geological materials in the field or at base camp. GERDA combines CNC mechanics, open-source control systems and geospatial documentation. Services include geochemical surveys for mineral exploration, the NEFFA method for XRF gold detection in ores, design and manufacture of custom analysis platforms, on-site deployment in mobile labs and field stations, integration with XRF, NIR and LIBS analysers, technical training, remote support, system upgrades and the SORBIONEX pXRF analytical platform.
