Shandong Linglong Tire is part of the extraordinary industrial cluster that turned Shandong province into the world's tire factory: the region around Zhaoyuan, where Linglong was founded in 1975, produces more tires than almost any region on earth. Linglong itself has grown from a small state-owned rubber plant into one of China's largest tire makers and a top-10 global tire brand.
The company makes the full tire range — passenger car tires, SUV and light truck tires, truck and bus tires, and specialty tires for construction and mining — selling under brands like Linglong, LINGLONG (overseas), and its premium ATLAS brand. Its tires are original equipment on cars from many Chinese and global automakers, and it exports to over 180 countries.
Linglong has also gone global in production: it built factories in Thailand and Serbia, and has announced plants in the US, making it one of the most internationally invested Chinese tire companies. With tens of thousands of employees and annual revenue near RMB 20 billion, Linglong competes on value — offering quality approaching the global majors at significantly lower prices — and its European factory strategy is designed to bypass trade barriers and shorten supply lines to Western automakers.
