About

Saudi Aramco is the world's largest integrated oil and gas company, majority-owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and listed on the Tadawul exchange since 2019. Its origins trace to 1933, when a concession agreement opened Saudi Arabia's eastern province to oil exploration; the company that grew from that agreement now produces roughly one in every eight barrels of crude oil on earth, from the Ghawar field — the largest conventional oil field ever discovered — and the offshore Safaniya field, the largest offshore field in the world. Beyond crude production, Aramco operates one of the world's largest refining and petrochemical networks, with stakes in SABIC, refineries in Asia and the United States, and a growing gas business that feeds power plants and industrial cities across the Kingdom. The company has committed to building one of the largest carbon-capture programs in the industry and is investing in blue hydrogen, ammonia, and renewables as part of its net-zero-by-2050 ambition. For industrial buyers, Aramco matters in two ways: as a massive buyer of drilling equipment, steel pipe, valves, pumps, and process-control systems through its In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) program, and as a supplier of feedstocks — naphtha, ethane, and refined products — that anchor global petrochemical supply chains.
