UVR-FIA GmbH

UVR-FIA GmbH is a German research institute based in Freiberg, active since 1991 and established as a company in 1996. It provides research, development and small-scale production in mechanical process engineering and the preparation of mineral resources. Services include contract grinding and preparation, process and product development, pilot and laboratory tests, materials analyses and characterisation, research, basic engineering and commissioning. The institute operates over 350 machines and devices across 1,400 m² for laboratory testing, plus a 20 m technical centre with three working levels and 1,600 m² for pilot-scale preparation systems tested under near-industrial conditions. Product samples up to several tons can be produced.
