TRSNICA VRHPOLJE

TRSNICA VRHPOLJE is a grapevine-growing cooperative founded in 1994 and based in Vipava, Slovenia. It comprises 50 members and focuses on producing high-quality grafted vines. The cooperative collaborates closely with Selekcijsko trsničarsko središče Vrhpolje, which has grown virus-free clonal planting material since 1991. Together they planted a collection vineyard with 52 grape varieties in Lože near Vipava. Production emphasizes rootstock and scion selection through mass and clonal selection from vineyards across Vipavska Valley, Goriška Brda, Karst, and Koper over five years. The nursery also plants virus-free American rootstocks adapted to local soil and climate.
