STW Kautzmann GmbH, founded in 1919 and headquartered in Schenkenzell, Germany, develops and manufactures technical fibers for industrial use. Its product portfolio covers fillers, short cuts, fibrids and pulp, plus custom fiber solutions. Fillers are produced by specialized grinding of tangled fibers, continuous fibers, threads or fabrics, including recycled material, yielding high-purity grades with uniform fiber length distribution. Short cuts are made from continuous fibers cut to defined lengths and treated with bonding agents. Fibrillated fibers offer a branched structure, high surface area and thixotropic behavior. The company also supplies compounds and special products such as thixotropic agents containing amorphous silica. Fiber experts represent the firm in more than 70 countries.
