Stiegele GmbH, founded in 1979 by Günther Stiegele in Löwenstein Hößlinsülz, is based in Obersulm, Germany. The company manufactures, assembles and commissions backup power systems with capacities up to 3500 kVA, and rents power generators and accessories with delivery, cabling and commissioning available on request. Early operations focused on repairing and overhauling used generators before production of 630 kVA container generators began. A move in 1989 to Obersulm Willsbach provided over 1200 m² of office and production space and a 32-ton crane. Renamed Stiegele Stromerzeuger GmbH in 1990, the firm expanded its premises from 6000 to 9000 m² in 1999.
