Schöpp-Sportboden GmbH

Schöpp-Sportboden GmbH is a German manufacturer founded in 1994 and based in Remscheid, producing robust textile tennis floor coverings and dust- and odor-free tennis granulate, along with tennis hall equipment such as ball-catching curtains. The company traces its origins to Ralph Schöpp KG, which in 1967 became the first carpet manufacturer to produce a needle felt textile floor covering for tennis halls; more than 5000 SCHÖPP-TENNISBELÄGE courts have since been installed across Europe. Managing director Ralph Schöpp Jr. is a textile engineer with over 25 years in the production and sale of tennis hall coverings. A Swiss sales company was added in 1996, a tufting facility in Remscheid in 1997, synthetic turf production and an extruder granulate line in 2001, and a polymer coating plant in 2011.
