Normec Valitech GmbH & Co. KG, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Falkensee near Berlin, Germany, is an accredited testing and calibration laboratory specialising in hygienic testing and validation of preparation and production processes for medical instruments. Validations are performed independently of manufacturers across all medical specialties and device types, and the company has handled reprocessing validation since 1999, when the requirement was introduced. Its team includes engineers, pharmaceutical technicians, food technicians and microbiologists. The Falkensee site houses an analysis laboratory, a microbiology laboratory and data logger development. Roughly 100 employees work on validations, about half of them deployed across all regions of Germany.
