NIKOPLEX CO. is a textile producer based in Thessaloniki, Greece, founded in 1989 by mechanic Theodoros Nikolaidis, initially making cords for clothing, upholstery and shoes. It has grown into a family craft business producing woven and knitted tapes, straps and laces for many industries. The first weaving loom was acquired in 1995 and the first jacquard woven tape machine in 2006. In 2007 the company moved to a privately owned 1,000 square metre textile unit in the industrial area of Oraiokastro, Thessaloniki, where it turns out dozens of product designs daily.
