METTEC GUSS Metallgießerei und Formenbau GmbH is a family-run Austrian foundry and machining company established in 1953 in Wels. Operating from more than 23,000 m² of production space with roughly 180 employees, it covers the complete casting chain: casting-oriented design, simulation, pattern and tool making, sand, die, tilt and low-pressure casting, plus cleaning, heat treatment, impregnation and surface finishing. Series of over 10,000 pieces are handled. A CNC unit added in 2004 provides milling, turning, five-axis machining, grinding, laser marking, prototyping and fixture construction. Materials range from plastics to super duplex steel. Quality control uses a laboratory with 3D measurement, contour and roughness testing and over 1,000 calibrated hand gauges. The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
