IT4IP S.A., established in 2006 in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, produces membranes using a patented track-etching process. The resulting thin porous films filter gases and liquids, with pore sizes controlled from 10 nanometers to several tens of micrometers. The technology applies to polycarbonate, polyester, and polyimide polymers capable of withstanding extreme temperature, mechanical, physical, and chemical conditions. Membranes are supplied as rolls or pre-cut disks across a wide porosity range. Production takes place in a controlled environment compliant with ISO 9001, ensuring the cleanliness needed for biomedical applications and high reproducibility. Applications include asbestos particle and cell separation, diffusion control in biosensors, and in vitro cell culture.
