IEF-Werner GmbH, founded in 1980 and located in Furtwangen, Germany, manufactures modular components and applications for automation technology. Handling components, transport and positioning systems, and palletizers form the product range. Around 120 employees work on modular components that allow customized machines to be built quickly; these components grow into positioning systems and then into tailored applications, up to fully automated production lines. The company was among the first makers of linear modules in the 1980s. Three business areas define its core work: automation components, automation systems and customer applications.
