Emter GmbH

Emter GmbH is a German company based in Altenstadt that specializes in sewage sludge utilization, with more than 25 years of experience in the field. Founded in 1992 by Johann Emter from an agricultural operation, it initially traded agricultural products and later added a composting facility in Saxony-Anhalt. Planning for a thermal utilization plant in Altenstadt began in 2006, and the facility entered operation in 2009 after three years of construction. The company offers an ecologically sustainable disposal concept from a single source, tailored to individual needs. Over 250 municipalities rely on its sewage sludge incineration plants.
