DIXI-Polytool GmbH

DIXI-Polytool GmbH is a German manufacturer of precision tooling based in Birkenfeld, established in 1968. Its product range covers tools made from solid carbide (VHM), polycrystalline diamond (PKD) and diamond, along with form tools and precision reamers. The company's headquarters was constructed in two stages during 1967 and 1971. CNC production equipment was first adopted in the 1970s, and computerisation across the firm and its subsidiaries in the early 1990s was accompanied by a twenty-five-fold increase in the machine park. SQS certification was obtained in 1994. Expansion included the acquisitions of DIXI Frama (1992), Polytool (1999), DIXI UK (2000) and DIAWE (2004), the latter broadening the product portfolio.
