DIEHL & EAGLE PICHER GMBH is a German production company founded in 1970 and based in Röthenbach. It develops and manufactures battery packs for civilian and military applications, supplying rechargeable systems in technologies such as nickel metal hydride and lithium ion according to customer specifications, as well as primary packs using lithium thionyl chloride, lithium manganese dioxide, lithium sulfur dioxide and lithium carbon monofluoride chemistries. Production draws on cells from US partner EaglePicher Technologies LLC and other international manufacturers. The company develops Li-ion batteries with integrated electronics through to series production, meeting certifications including CE, RoHS, EMV, the Low Voltage Directive, IEC 62133 and UN38.3 transport testing, plus customer-specific requirements such as IEC 62619 and functional safety to IEC 61508 SIL2.
