Berger Modellbau GmbH

Berger Modell- und Formenbau GmbH, founded in 1922 as Berger & Mössner by Julius Berger and Wilhelm Mössner, is a model and mold making company based in Korntal-Münchingen, Germany. Initial production served machine manufacturers including Index Steinhäuser, Schaudt and Fortuna. Collaboration with Prof. Dr. hc. Ferdinand Porsche from 1932 brought the automotive industry into the customer base. In the 1950s the firm developed model construction products for supplier companies such as Robert Bosch GmbH and SWF. CAD/CAM systems were introduced in the 1980s. The company was renamed Berger Modell- und Formenbau GmbH in 1991 and relocated from Stuttgart-Feuerbach to Korntal-Münchingen in 2000.
