Bandex Textil & Handels-GmbH, founded in 1955 in Koblach, Austria, began as a ribbon weaving operation and today produces curtain and drapery tapes, offering roughly 500 standard items. Its TechTex division supplies custom narrow fabrics for technical uses, including electrically conductive tapes, sensor tapes, moisture detection textiles, heating fabrics, flat conductors, flame-retardant and thermoplastic tapes, plus medical technology tapes and fabrics. Production is fully integrated and uses modern machinery, with emphasis on non-elastic tapes and three-dimensional weaving. The company processes natural and synthetic fibers and exports to over 55 countries. It is a member of the Smart Textiles Plattform Austria.
