B&R Industrial Automation GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of automation technology, founded in 1979. Its portfolio covers robotics, automation and software, including industrial PCs, I/O systems, robotics and software for industrial components. Standard and tailored products are used in automotive, maritime, medical device assembly, packaging and plastics markets, among others. B&R became part of the ABB Group in 2017, specialising in technology integration and engineering for machine and factory automation, motion control and integrated safety technology. Its listed products include programmable controllers, remote IOs, fieldbus components, safety controllers, panel PCs, power inverters and AC and DC motors.
